Want to have your say on health and care in Derbyshire?
Why not get involved and be part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire's Citizens Panel?
JUCD has developed the Citizens’ Panel to ensure that they can listen to and learn from local residents. By sharing your feedback and opinions on health and care services, you can help them to design services that take into account ‘what matters to people’, on a range of topics related to health and care services.
Panel members will be contacted through the year to input their views. You will also be invited to take part in a range of surveys, and there will be focus groups, working groups or committees that you can choose to attend in person.
See the Joined Up Care Flyer for more information.

First Steps is an eating disorder charity based in Derbyshire.
Supporting someone with an eating disorder can be extremely tough, especially as the support and understanding carers give can be crucial in helping their loved one.
From October 2019 First Steps will be running a series of 4 week Skills for Carers workshops
These workshops help carers develop skills for tackling eating disorder difficulties, focusing on warmth, empathy and self-reflection. The workshops will help carers learn how to reduce resistance to change by directing people in a gentle, non-confrontational way towards finding their own solutions. The workshops will cover different caring styles including the new Maudsley Method.
All First Steps workshops are delivered by their team of expert trainers, specialising in eating disorder management. First Steps is also able to provide support materials in various formats.
The workshops will be held at the First Steps base at 16 Agard Street, Derby, DE1 1DZ. If you regsiter for the workshops you must be willing to attend all 4 sessions.
You can find out more, including dates and how to book on the First Steps website.
