The ICG 2022 team would like all Coventry school children to have a go at designing the 'Team Coventry' logo. This is a great competition and opportunity for all Coventry students to be a part of the Games and help celebrate by potentially seeing their artwork used in a major international sporting event, attended by 80 different cities from five continents.
The rules explain how to and how many logos can be submitted per school, deadlines etc. If you have any questions, please email covsport@coventry.gov.uk and the team will be happy to help. For more information on International Children's Games, head to the Coventry ICG 2022 website.

STEAM Stars is an Erasmus Plus funded project promoting the use of innovative pedagogies and digital learning tools in STEAM (Science and Technology interpreted through Engineering and the Arts) education for gifted students. As part of the project, we will be creating free to access online e-learning materials for trainers, with the aim to improve the skills of educators in the areas of gifted education and STEAM learning.
Being a part of our National Experts Group would entail providing valuable feedback on the materials we create in the project, helping us to ensure that the project effectively uses STEAM education in an engaging way in gifted education. Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel (the new name for Big Pedal), the UK’s largest inter-school cycling, walking, wheeling and scooting challenge is back for 2022. Although the name has changed, the competition has the same amazing aim; to encourage more families to travel to school actively and help create healthier and happier communities.
Running from 21 March - 1 April 2022, schools will compete to see who can record the highest number of pupils taking active journeys to school. There are fantastic daily prizes to be won including accessories and equipment to help children travel actively.
Daily lesson plans and physical activities for pupils with barriers to participation will be free to download during the challenge. Participating in the Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel also contributes towards gaining Modeshift Stars accreditation.
The challenge is free to enter and schools can sign up online.
