A website promoting Roro Chan Challenge has been circulating locally and shared via WhatsApp, Pinterest and possibly TikTok. Roro Chan Challenge is supportive of self-harm and encourages people to take their own lives. A child in the West Midlands recently committed suicide after accessing this site. Please be alert to the nature and risks of this site and talk to young people who may be accessing it.

Coventry Young Poet Laureate
Our group of Trade Union, LA and Headteacher representatives has met regularly over the last few years to ensure that the workload agenda retains a high profile in Coventry. During this time we have introduced the Workload Charter which several schools have piloted and then adopted in their schools.
If you have any queries or suggestions, or would like to join this group, please email Lucy Lambert (lucy.lambert@coventry.gov.uk). We would be very happy to hear from you.
Are you looking to support year 6 pupils with meaningful transition activity as they prepare to move up to secondary school in September?
Herbert Art Gallery & Museum are able to support you with the Arts Award at Home programme, with further opportunities to take part in facilitated workshops and activities across the school summer holidays.
Are you teaching Coventry's history in school as part of the City of Culture year? We have lots to support your learning at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum, with our Coventry Firsts assembly and the Coventry Timeline workshop (both available virtually and physically).
We are recruiting schools to join our fundraising event for World Mental Health Day in October, please register your interest!
If you have any comments, please let us know by contacting lucy.lambert@coventry.gov.uk.
