We are pleased to announce that the Childcare and Early Years Capital programme – Small Grants Scheme 2023-2024 is now open for childcare providers based in Caerphilly County Borough Council only.
All settings registered with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) are eligible to apply. This includes childminders, private and voluntary sector providers, and maintained settings offering day care, wrap around care, holiday play schemes, out of school childcare clubs, etc. Applications can also be considered from new childcare providers who have submitted their CIW registration.
All applications will be considered in order of priority, our main focus during this period will be any Health and safety requirements which ensure that the setting premises are safe, compliant and sustainable for longer term use or settings as a result of the award are able to expand their CIW registration numbers. For further information regarding all priorities can be found in the application form attached.
If you have previously applied for funding and your application form was placed on hold during the last financial year, then you do not need to re-submit your application. As your original application form will be considered during the next panel and prioritised accordingly.
All settings that have previously applied during the last financial year and were successfully awarded the maximum amount eligible form need not apply at this time. Funding is limited and priority will be given to those settings who have not been awarded during the last financial year.
All applications submitted before the 13 June 2023 will be considered in the first panel meeting on 16 June 2023. Panel meetings will continue monthly after this time until all monies is exhausted.
