A–F Accountability

The 2023-2024 CAF File Format is now available.

The Consolidated Accountability Data File (CAF) will be provided in a fixed length text file format with the layout defined in the CAF File Format. A summary list of new and removed fields and other changes to the CAF are also included. The 2023-2024 CAF will be released in early August. The 2023-2024 CAF File Format is now available on the 2024 Accountability Rating Systems page.

CCMR Final Listing coming Friday, August 2nd

The Final 2024 College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Student Listing will be released within TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application on August 2nd. This data download will contain the 2024 CCMR data for 2022–23 annual graduates and 2022–23 non-graduating 12th graders, including applicable corrections submitted and approved through the 2024 CCMR Verifier. This data will be used to calculate the College, Career, and Military Readiness components for 2024 accountability ratings.

Class of 2022 CCMR OB Listings and Reports Available

The final Class of 2022 Annual Graduates CCMR OB Student Listings are now available in the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application. The final Class of 2022 CCMR OB Counts by District and explanatory resources are also now available on the Performance Reporting Resources webpage.  

The final student listings and reports are an update to the previously released Early CCMR OB Counts by District 2022 Graduates file, announced in this TAA. Early counts were based on actual data for the graduating class; the last set of data from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) has been processed and these reports are now final.

Performance Reporting is Hiring

We are currently looking for a Director of Accountability Strategy and Policy. The Director of Accountability Strategy and Policy requires in-depth knowledge of state and federal accountability systems. This role involves analyzing and developing policies and guidelines, establishing goals and metrics, and coordinating program activities. PEIMS Summer Resubmission Extended Through Tuesday, July 23, 2024

Through a software release on or before 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2024, TEA will resolve an issue where the CTE auto-calculation process is not calculating CTE indicators for some students correctly. Once the auto-calculation process is re-run, TEA will send a broadcast message to notify users to regenerate report PDM3-404-002 Career and Technical Education Student Roster. Following receipt of the broadcast message and regeneration of report PDM3-404-002, please verify that all CTE indicator data for your local education agency (LEA) are correct. 

TEA TSDS PEIMS has confirmed that the CTE auto-calculation process has been corrected and advises districts to re-run PDM3-404-002 Career and Technical Student Roster to verify that all CTE indicator data for your LEA are correct. Even if previous PEIMS reports and/or data in the SIS appear to be correct, please re-run the specified report to verify the CTE indicator data prior to the revised deadline of July 23, 2024.

The PEIMS Summer resubmission due date has been extended through Tuesday, July 23, 2024, due to Hurricane Beryl.

CCMR Tracker Release: Part 2 coming Friday, July 26th

The CCMR Tracker Part II provides districts with a means to track CCMR indicator completion throughout high school for students reported as enrolled in grades 9–12 on the TSDS PEIMS October 2023 snapshot date impacting 2024 accountability ratings. Corrections cannot be submitted to TEA; this report is for informational purposes only.

The 2024 CCMR Tracker is released in stages:

  • Part I March 29, 2024: CCMR outcomes reported through TSDS PEIMS, TSIA results, and OnRamps course completion through the 2022–23 school year; SAT, ACT, AP, IB and level I/II certificate results through the 2021–22 school year
  • Part II July 26, 2024: CCMR outcomes for SAT, ACT, AP, IB, and level I/II certificates through the 2022–23 school year

Assessment Scoring and Reporting

Spring 2024 STAAR Administration

Final assessment reports for accountability, including updated student report cards, labels, district and campus summary reports, and reporting data files for the spring 2024 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) administration were posted to the Secure File Center on July 10, 2024, for end-of-course (EOC) assessments and will be posted July 19 for grades 3–8 assessments. Item analysis reports reflecting final accountability data, including corrections made during the data correction window, are also available. The final assessment results for accountability will be posted to the Family and Research Portals by July 15 for EOC assessments and July 24 for grades 3–8 assessments. District coordinators should refer to the Family Portal page of the District and Campus Coordinator Resources for information on helping parents access the secure Family Portal.

2024 STAAR Alternate 2 Administration

Final assessment reports for accountability and reporting data files for the 2024 STAAR Alternate 2 administration were posted to the Secure File Center on July 12, 2024. The final assessment results for accountability will be posted to the Family and Research Portals by July 17.

Secure Browser Updates For 2024–2025

As a reminder, the updated Secure Browser 17.0 for supported versions of macOS, Windows, and Linux is now available to download from the Secure Browsers page of the Texas Assessment website. District personnel must update desktop Secure Browsers to version 17.0 for the 2024–2025 school year. Districts may continue to use version 9 of the iPad Secure Browser, as a new version is not required for the 2024–2025 school year. Further information regarding the new Chrome OS Secure Browser is expected later this summer. The minimum system requirements for the 2024–2025 school year are available in the Technology Resources section of the District and Campus Coordinator Resources.

Annual System Rollover

As a reminder, systems for the Texas Assessment Program will be offline from 7:00 p.m. (CT) August 16 through 1:00 a.m. (CT) August 26, 2024, to complete a system rollover. This includes the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE), the Centralized Reporting System (CRS), the Test Delivery System (TDS), and the Secure File Center. District testing personnel should download any data files or certifications needed before August 16.

All student data, including rosters, will be cleared from TIDE, and students must be added to TIDE for the 2024–2025 school year. Practice tests will continue to be accessible in guest mode, and the Learning Management System (LMS) will be available for registered users through the Testing Personnel page of the Texas Assessment website. Any Texas Formative Assessment Resource (TFAR) tests administered in 2023–2024 that require scoring by hand must be submitted prior to August 16 for scores to be reflected in CRS. If hand-scored items are not submitted prior to August 16, they will no longer be available for scoring after the system rollover.

With the annual system rollover, superintendent and district testing coordinator roles in TIDE will be updated to match those listed in AskTED. All users with an existing account must create a new password when logging in to TIDE for the first time each school year. Users with a new role must have their role updated to ensure that they have appropriate access to the system functionality needed for their assigned role. Refer to the TIDE User Guide for more information about logging in to the system for the first time and creating or editing user accounts.
