PEIMS Summer Resubmission Extended Through July 23, 2024

Through a software release on or before 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2024, TEA will resolve an issue where the CTE autocalculation process is not calculating CTE indicators for some students correctly. Once the autocalculation process is re-run, TEA will send a broadcast message to notify users to regenerate report PDM3-404-002 Career and Technical Education Student Roster. Please verify that all CTE indicator data for your local education agency (LEA) is correct.

The PEIMS Summer resubmission due date has been extended through July 23, 2024, due to Hurricane Beryl.

Refreshed Programs of Study Framework Documents Available

Perkins V is federal legislation requiring states that receive federal CTE funds to align CTE programs of study to high-wage, in-demand, and high-skill occupations. The Division of College, Career, and Military Preparation engaged members of the workforce, secondary education, and higher education to advise on the development and recent refresh of programs of study, which include coherent course sequences, industry-based certifications, and work-based learning opportunities to ensure students are prepared for high-wage, in-demand, and high-skill careers in Texas.  The refreshed programs of study framework documents are available here: CTE Programs of Study | Texas Education Agency.
