ESSER Annual Performance Reporting

Reporting Updates and Deadline Extension

The online system for LEAs to complete this reporting requirement will NOW CLOSE ON Monday, April 18, 2022.

Here is the link to the Smartsheet WorkApp for the USDE Annual Report. 

Note: LEA administrators and designated grant program and fiscal staff associated with the ESSER grant program have access to the online reporting system. In order to grant access to another user to enter the system the authorized representative MUST complete a help form to request additional access. 

• Important Reporting Updates: 
  1. TEA is currently working to pre-populate award amounts to assist LEAs in completing the form. 
  2. Areas on the form that are greyed out are either auto-calculations that will occur when data is submitted, or data that will be pre-populated by TEA.
  3. There have been many questions about what is meant by expenditure, please refer to question USDE-AR-Q40 for clarification:
     • "An expenditure is incurred by the LEA when TEA makes a reimbursement for that expenditure with specific funds; the date of the reimbursement determines the appropriate reporting period."
•  USDE Federal Annual Reporting Office Hours:

    • Weekly on Friday starting on March 25, 2022 and ending on April 15, 2022, from 11AM to 12PM.

    • Registrants should have received an update in their email regarding the additional office hours on April 15, 2022, double check your registration status and make sure it is on your calendar.
