 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department stocks fish that are big enough to catch and keep, and these fish are available for catching as soon as they land in the water.
- 2015 Fall catfish stocking dates* – September 4 and 18, October 2, 16 and 30
- 2015 Winter Rainbow trout stocking dates – Rainbow trout prefer cold water. In most areas of Texas, they can survive only in winter. Trout stocking begins in late November or early December and continues until March.
* Most lakes are stocked on Friday for weekend fishing. However, dates may change due to weather or other circumstances.

- Neighborhood Fishin’ lakes are safe, fun places to introduce children to fishing.
- The fish are fun to catch, and big enough to keep (and eat).
- Lakes are stocked every two weeks so lots of fish are available to take your bait.
