College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Verifier
The CCMR Verifier is available in TEAL > Accountability Application until Friday, June 26. The CCMR Verifier enables districts to review and verify non‑TSDS PEIMS CCMR outcomes for applicable students and, when necessary, submit official documentation to request data corrections during the annual verification window.
Although TSDS PEIMS data is not eligible for corrections within the CCMR Verifier, users will see the TSDS PEIMS elements in the Preliminary CCMR Student Listing linked within the Verifier application. TSDS PEIMS indicators can be corrected through the HB 8 PEIMS Working Submission (see below).

HB 8 PEIMS Working Submission for Accountability
Districts may complete the HB 8 PEIMS Working Submission to correct inaccurate PEIMS data and positively impact 2026 Accountability and after. The eligible PEIMS submissions are Summer 2023-24, Summer 2024-25, and Fall 2025.
The eligible data for corrections are:
- College Preparatory Course Completion
- Dual Credit Course Completion
- Industry-Based Certifications (IBC)
- Program of Study Completer elements
- Associate Degree attainment
- Diploma Type values for reported graduates with completed IEP and workforce readiness
- Diploma Type and Endorsement values for reported graduates earning an advanced diploma and who were served within Special Education Programs
The 2025 Grad and Non-Grad tabs in the CCMR Tracker, Part I, were included to support the timely completion of Working Submissions. Districts are encouraged to leverage the CCMR Tracker, Part I, released in April 2026, to determine whether a PEIMS Working Submission is needed due to errors reflected in projected accountability data.
If the data submitted via Working Submission can be used in preliminary accountability ratings, there will be an additional request made of the superintendent or their designee to communicate the school system’s understanding of which accountability year(s), domain(s), and component(s) will be affected by the updated data submitted.
All PEIMS Working Submissions must be processed, as indicated via email from TSDS PEIMS, by June 26, 2026, to be included in 2026 accountability ratings calculations.

Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA) and Perkins V Grant
School systems previously received automated messages that CLNAs were approved in eGrants. This year, school systems will not receive an automated email. Instead, approved eGrants users can reopen the CLNA to verify approval status. All but a few Region 11 school systems are approved as of June 22, 2026.

Updated IBC Reimbursement FAQ
TEA revised the previous IBC Reimbursement FAQ document to include legislative updates. The updated resource includes calculation examples for site licenses, two IBC reimbursements, fingerprinting, and more. CTE Innovative Services for Special Populations Grant
The Career and Technical Education Innovative Services for Special Populations Grant supports school systems in addressing gaps in access to CTE programs for students identified as special populations under the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act. Eligible student groups include students with disabilities, economically disadvantaged students, English learners, students preparing for nontraditional fields, students experiencing homelessness or foster care, migrant students, and other Perkins‑identified special populations.
This grant enables school systems to design and implement innovative services that address gaps and disparities identified through the Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment, with a focused emphasis on improving outcomes for underserved student groups. To apply, visit TEA Grants Opportunities.
2028 Academic Accountability Rating System Refresh Timeline
As a reminder, the 2028 Academic Accountability Rating System Framework was released on March 19, 2026. The 2028 A-F system will incorporate cut points that will not increase for 5 years, until the next refresh, using a methodology consistent with statutory requirements calibrated based on baseline performance data.
To ensure the 2028 refresh uses the most recent baseline data possible, 2028 cut scores will be calculated by including 2026 results data later this year. Given the timelines involved, we anticipate that the proposed 2028 manual with cut scores will be released in Fall 2026. Adoption of the final 2028 manual and 2026 What If ratings will follow soon after, anticipated in Early 2027.
IMRA: Public Access and Comment Period Now Open
Instructional materials submitted for consideration in the Instructional Materials Review and Approval (IMRA) Cycle 2026 are now available for public access and review, including CTE 6-12. Texas stakeholders, including educators, parents, and community members, are invited to review the submitted materials and provide public comments during the established comment period.
Submitted instructional materials are available for public review and feedback from Friday, May 1, 2026, through Friday, July 31, 2026, via the SBOE.
Publisher responses to public comments, along with the original public comments, are compiled and provided to the State Board of Education (SBOE) as part of the materials reviewed in advance of the SBOE’s vote on instructional materials scheduled for November 2026. This process ensures transparency and allows public input to inform the board’s decision-making.

2026–2027 Planning Amounts and Applicant Designation and Certification (ADC) Forms for Perkins V Now Available
Planning amounts for school systems, including independent school districts and open-enrollment charter schools, for formula grants associated with the 2026–2027 Perkins V: Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century grant, are now available and can be viewed on the TEA Grant Allocations and Award Balances webpage.
The 2026–2027 Applicant Designation and Certification (ADC) forms are available for the Perkins V and Perkins V Institutions ADC for all school systems.
Dual Credit Instructor Support
The University of North Texas is pleased to introduce the UNT Dual Credit Network (DCN), a statewide initiative designed to strengthen dual credit pathways across K–12 districts, community colleges, and universities. UNT no longer delivers dual credit directly, and the DCN does not replace existing partnerships; it builds on them by improving alignment, communication, and access to shared resources.
Through the DCN, partners can:
- Grow their pool of qualified dual credit instructors through UNT’s fully online graduate programs with discounted tuition
- 30-hour, non-thesis, master's degrees
- 18-hour graduate academic certificates
- Align high school and college partners to expand quality and access
- Use shared, evidence-based tools to improve advising, instruction, and college readiness
- Simplify communication with college partners for faster, more consistent coordination
- Support stronger student outcomes with clear, college-ready pathways

Entrepreneurship & Personal Finance PD in Partnership with TIVA
Using experiential learning and a field-tested curriculum, institute participants simultaneously learn entrepreneurship content and instructional best practices by reviewing classroom-ready resources (news articles, videos, podcasts, infographics, e-textbook, lessons, PPT slides, test bank, etc.) and completing assignments that they can turn around and use with their students with little to no further preparation. Easily customizable, the institute's resources are extremely flexible and accessible to middle and high school students using inquiry, performance, project, and competency-based learning objectives.
Online modules are self-paced, and live Zoom classes feature introductions to supportive community partners, grassroots adult and high school student entrepreneurs who share “lessons learned,” and breakout groups for statewide networking, collaboration, and planning. Practical module assignments include a sharable collection of co-created lessons and workforce development activities, lean canvas and business plan drafts, and investor-style pitches to inspire creative strategies for high-quality education and self/employment outcomes.

Hospitality Careers Video and Free Resources
Texas Hotel & Lodging Association has released a new Hospitality Careers Video to increase awareness of the many exciting career pathways available within the Hospitality & Tourism Career Cluster, with a special focus on careers in the lodging industry.
The video can be used in conjunction with the career exploration lesson plan resources in the links below. The lesson is an excellent way to start the school year, helping students explore career options, identify personal interests, and learn about the various pathways available within the hospitality industry.

Class of 2030 CCMR Refresh Webinar Series
The Class of 2030 CCMR Refresh webinar series is designed to help districts plan for the accountability outcomes that will apply to the Class of 2030 (and future cohorts) as students progress through high school.
Across the series, the focus is on proactive, systemwide planning—aligning coursework, advising, program design, partnerships, and data/reporting practices—so districts expand student access to multiple high‑quality programs in college, career, or the military.
Webinars are organized around major CCMR components (weighting, career/military readiness, advanced academics, and college preparation measures) and emphasize cross‑functional coordination, clear timelines, and practical decision points that influence future cohort outcomes.

Performance Reporting Help Desk
Performance Reporting has transitioned to a new ticketing system for all support requests and questions. The Performance Reporting Inbox will not be monitored, effective March 6th. This change is designed to streamline communication, ensure faster response times, and improve tracking and resolution of inquiries. Stakeholders who previously sent questions to Performance Reporting via email will now submit inquiries through the TEA Help Desk, enabling our team to provide more efficient, consistent support.
