Mandatory Safe and Supportive Schools Program (SSSP) Reporting
In accordance with Texas Education Code (TEC) §37.115, school boards are required to have a threat assessment and safe and supportive school program team established for every campus. These teams must conduct threat assessments and report individuals who make threats of violence or exhibit harmful, threatening, or violent behavior.
School systems are mandated to report data regarding these campus team activities to the TEA annually.

Urgent Deadline Reminder: JS26 Participant List for Random Moment Time Study (RMTS)
The closing date for the Federal Fiscal Year 2026 (FFY26) fourth quarter—July–September 2026 (JS26)—Participant List (PL) is June 15, 2026. This applies to all LEAs, ECI, LHD, and MH-IDD entities.
🚨 Critical Compliance Penalty

SHARS: Failure to update or certify the PL by the deadline will make your entity ineligible to participate in the SHARS program for the entirety of FFY26.

MAC: Positions must be on the PL to be eligible for Medicaid Administrative Claiming. Missing the deadline results in disqualification from the MAC program for the JS26 quarter.
📋 RMTS Contact Responsibilities & System Steps
The primary RMTS Contact is responsible for managing program contacts, updating the calendar, and certifying the list.

Verify Training Access: Access is restricted to RMTS Contacts who have completed the HHSC-required annual training via the RMTS Contact Training website.

Review the IVA System: Data from the previous vendor has been carried forward into the Interactive Voice Applications (IVA) system for this quarter. Log in to review all entries, additions, and deletions.

Certify Your Status: Even if your district has zero changes to make, you must still log in and click the "Certify" button before the window shuts.'
