District 4 Councilmember Carolyn King Arnold issues
statement on death of former Councilmember Don Hill
Dallas – City of Dallas Council Member Carolyn King Arnold offers condolences to the family of former Dallas City Councilmember Don Hill. Hill passed away Saturday, May 13 from terminal prostate cancer.
“He had a smile that would brighten your day,” said Arnold, “and was a real people’s person."
The former Councilmember had been granted compassionate release Friday from federal prison where he was in the process of serving an 18-year prison sentence on bribery charges.
“He worked to build neighborhood coalitions across the community, while he represented his district,” Councilmember Arnold continues, “However, many may remember him as a Councilmember willing to lend a hand, even if it was across district lines.”
