Share your feedback about arranging interpreter services for health care appointments
OHA is going to develop Health Care Interpreter Scheduling Portal. This new system is for scheduling Qualified and/or Certified Health Care Interpreters for appointments with OHP members. In this early planning phase, we are looking for input from provider offices about how the portal should operate to meet the needs of your clinic/practice. We'd love to hear from clinic staff who are usually tasked with scheduling and coordinating health care interpretation services.
- What is working for you in your current process for scheduling and coordinating interpretation services?
- What isn't working and could be improved?
Please reach out to share your perspective and ensure that your voice is heard.
Background
Oregon's Senate Bill 1578 (2024) directs OHA to:
- Create or acquire a Health Care Interpreter Scheduling Portal.
- Pay Qualified/Certified Health Care Interpreters directly (for fee-for-service appointments only).
