Our own Amtrak Cascades is teaming up with transportation partners across the country to #SoundTheHorn to honor all essential workers. At noon Pacific tomorrow (Thursday) you’ll hear two horn blasts from trains. “I’m grateful for this opportunity to recognize and thank essential employees working throughout Oregon’s transportation system,” said Director Kris Strickler. “These individuals are on the front-line, providing critical services to help us get through the COVID-19 challenges. By joining with others across the country in this campaign, we’re making our message loud and clear: ‘We couldn’t do it without you.’”
OTC meets tomorrow
The Oregon Transportation Commission hosts the second all-telephone meeting on Thursday. The telephone audio is live-streamed on our YouTube channel with PowerPoint slides as visuals. On the agenda is a review of ODOT and OTC actions to implement findings from the McKinsey Management Review among other topics.
Staying connected with Procurement
The latest Procurement newsletter offers an update on all available training, a guide on using price agreements and much more.
Inside ODOT with a twist
As we continue with social distancing, we’re producing our agency newsletter Inside ODOT in a slightly different way. Instead of the monthly emailed newsletter, we’ll share a few stories each week in the News Brief. The printed version of Inside ODOT will still go once a month to crews who have limited access to email.
