The Wallow County Fly-In was held July 11th-12th at the Joseph State Airport.

Construction

We recently completed our Runway Rehabilitation and Electrical Improvement Project at the Cape Blanco State Airport pictured on the left.

Prospect Runway Reconstruction and Electrical Improvement Project is underway

The Cottage Grove Apron Reconstruction Project is underway.

The Siletz Bay Runway Rehab and Electrical Project just started June 16th.

We are looking forward to announcing schedules for construction and maintenance projects at the Aurora, Bandon, Cottage Grove, Independence, McDermitt, and Mulino State Airports soon.

Sister's Eagle Airport FBO Remodel

The Sister’s Eagle Airport FBO remodel was completed in December 2024. This project was funded by the COAR grant program to provide pilots flying in a place for flight planning and accommodations for rest and recharging. The FBO features include a sitting area, small kitchen, private bedroom/bathroom for pilot use, and a new flight simulator! A courtesy car and bikes are also available.

Staff put the new forestry equipment acquired with the use of SOAR funds to good use! They made major progress at the Wakonda Beach, Pinehurst, and Prospect State Airports, and will focus on obstruction removal again in the fall after mowing season!

Staff are doing an amazing job mowing state airports all over Oregon! They average about 4 airports a week!

Staff refreshed markings at the Cascade Locks State Airport on 6/17, several other state airports are planned for painting this summer! Next up is the Toledo State Airport on July 2^nd.
