From Our Partners at ODAFF Our partners at the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry (ODAFF) asked us to share this letter regarding hemp with commercial licensees.
Forms, Resources and Checklists OMMA keeps a list of commercial inspection forms, resources and checklists available to you at omma.ok.gov/forms.
When someone contacts OMMA regarding a commercial license, we need to verify the person is authorized to make changes or request information. Authorizations and access can include:
- Person(s) of Interest: Can discuss the license and request changes as applicable. Once identified, can verbally consent for another person to act in this authority for a single phone call only.
- Primary Contact: Can only discuss the license and receive general information. Cannot request account changes or authorize other persons to act on their behalf.
Keep in mind OMMA can't discuss account information or accept requests for changes from Registered Agents, who can only receive service of process.
Whenever you contact OMMA — either via our Call Center or Contact Form — please be ready to confirm your identity just like you would if you were contacting your bank or utility company. And keep in mind there are several things you can do on your own via the licensing portal, such as check the status of an application, fix a rejected application, submit change requests including a change of ownership, surrender a license and much more.
Gov. Kevin Stitt recently signed three new state laws that adjust the requirements for commercial medical marijuana license applications, employee credential processing and final product testing.
One important change is regarding certificates of occupancy (COOs). Senate Bill 1635 (2024) adjusts the requirements for commercial medical marijuana license applications and final product testing. Read more details about these changes in SB 1635 (2024).
- If you submitted an OMMA commercial license application and submitted a full and complete application for a valid certificate of occupancy (COO) to the appropriate governing authority before Feb. 1, 2024, complete this attestation and upload it to OMMA's Contact Form at omma.ok.gov/contact to correct the lack of a COO in your submission. Be sure to complete the form in its entirety.
-
If your application has been rejected and you are in the resubmission window, complete this attestation and upload it to your licensing portal application within 30 days of your rejection notice.
OMMA is committed to working with applicants as we navigate these changes with our licensing vendor.
If you are experiencing difficulties resubmitting an application or need additional assistance, visit omma.ok.gov/contact to contact OMMA.
OMMA has updated omma.ok.gov/legislation to reflect other medical marijuana bills that became law. OMMA’s rulemaking process will incorporate the new laws into our administrative code. Be sure to visit our Rulemaking Process webpage and learn more about the rulemaking process. You can bookmark the page and refer to it for public comment opportunities and updates.
OMMA and other state agencies will be closed Thursday, July 4, for Independence Day. Even when OMMA is closed, individuals can log in to the licensing portal to apply for or manage any license with OMMA.
