OSU Summer Art Teacher Residency

June 11-17, 2023

Picture yourself back in the studio, surrounded by colleagues, and receiving individualized critiques from university art department faculty, with time to concentrate on creating your art!

OSU cordially invites you to OSU’s inaugural Summer 2023 Art Teacher Residency. Teachers from across the State of Oklahoma (and beyond) will participate in a week of art making, presentations and workshops, individual and group critiques, meals together, artist talks, and much more!

The OSU summer residency convenes a wide range of K-12 art teachers and provides time away from everything that prevents educators from making artwork during the busy school year. Participants will stay on the OSU campus and engage in stimulating dialogue with colleagues in the field of education as they work in art studios creating new artwork. The synergy of working alongside other fellow art educators will be fostered through critiques, presentations, and workshops, while developing friendships and significant professional relationships. The week of intense artmaking will culminate in a group exhibition in the OSU Gardiner Art Gallery.

For more information or questions please contact:
Chris Whittey, Head of the Department of Art, Graphic Design, and Art History
(405) 744-6016 or chris.whittey@okstate.edu
