An Equitable School Climate

Supports high expectations for teaching, learning, and achievement
Provides physical and psychologically safe learning environment for all
Caring, courageous, self-reflective relationships between peers and adults
Culturally responsive pathways to participation that enhance academic, social, emotional, civic, and moral development

Why Positive School Climate?

Decreasing the number of discipline referrals and school suspensions increases students' time in class. Allowing more instruction time with regulated students leads to a positive school environment, a positive working environment for educators, and overall academic success.
