EDPlan Update – New Contact Wizard

When Schools closed in the spring, many users requested an easier way to document Parent Contacts.  Based on your input, EDPlan will be releasing a new Contact Wizard soon.  The Contact Wizard will allow the user to log contacts for students in succession, rather than accessing each student’s Contact Log individually. The new Contact Wizard will be released in early October. See attached guidance for details.

Child Count Notices

  1. The special education child count will be conducted on October 1. Students cleanly enrolled in your district on October 1 with active IDEA eligibility and an IEP will be counted. If you have students who are not showing on your “Child List” in the Single Sign-on SPED Child Count application, you may submit an appeal to have the students added to the report once all errors are corrected. Click here to read the procedures for submitting an appeal.. We want every student counted who should be.
  2. If you are having issues opening Advanced Reporting to review your EdPlan child count reports, please try using another browser. Apparently some updates were made to either Chrome or the SAP software used in Advanced Reporting, and now the two aren’t compatible for the time being. If you can’t use another browser, we have “tech-y” guidance we can share with you.
