MCO Open Enrollment deadline approaching!
Employers, the period to switch your managed care organization (MCO) to manage the medical portion of your workers’ compensation claims is almost over. BWC’s 2023 MCO open enrollment ends at 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 26.
To help you select an MCO that meets the needs of your business and workers, updated versions of BWC’s MCO Selection Guide and MCO Report Card are available at bwc.ohio.gov. The guide walks you through the selection process, while the report card provides up-to-date MCO performance information. If you’re satisfied with your MCO, you don’t need to do anything.

The True-up online report will be available on July 1, 2023. At the end of the policy year, we must ensure the estimated premium we set for you was correct. To do this, you must file a True-up report that reflects the actual payroll for that policy year. You must complete the report online using the Payroll True-up report service offering by August 15, 2023.
If your True-up payroll exceeds the estimated payroll, you'll owe additional premium. If your True-up payroll is less than your estimated payroll, you'll receive a premium credit. An employer must submit a payroll True-up report even if it has zero payroll.
