On July 16 at approximately 7:20 p.m., the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office helicopter known as Metro 2 crashed just outside of Las Vegas, NM. The helicopter and its crew were assisting with a wildfire in the area, providing bucket drops and other air logistics needs to fire crews on the ground.
Please hold the family, their friends and the colleagues of those lost in your hearts as we grieve during this difficult time.
A GoFundMe has been set up by the Bernalillo County Deputy Sheriff's Association for the families.
Bubba's 33, located at 4861 Pan American Freeway NE, will also be holding a fundraiser on Thursday, July 21 from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. 10% of all food purchases will be donated to the families of the fallen heroes.
