The deadline to submit the business, livestock and manufactured home personal property reporting forms to the Office of the Assessor of Bernalillo County is Feb. 28, 2022. The Assessor’s Office mailed the reporting forms to property owners on Dec. 6, 2021.
Business personal property, livestock and manufactured homeowners must complete a report every year and submit to the Assessor’s Office. Owners must report equipment used for businesses, current manufactured home information or individual livestock located within the boundaries of Bernalillo County. Bernalillo County Animal Care and Resource Center would like to remind the community of important tips for the holiday season.
Holidays can be stressful for many including pets. Ringing doorbells, increased activity, and visitors during the holiday season can be upsetting to a pet’s routine. It’s best to keep pets on a regular schedule for feeding and exercise. Pets should be kept away from doors leading to the outside and under control when visitors arrive and depart.
Cats especially tend to be shy and require their own space to feel safe. To help avoid unnecessary stress, consider restricting cats to a relatively quiet room with access to hiding places until the guests are gone. Be sure to put their food, water, and litter box in the room too. continue reading.....

Every year, many of us make New Year’s resolutions to eat healthier, exercise more, or clean out our clutter. So for 2022, why not try a new kind of resolution? What better thing to do this coming year than better our community?
We invite you to take the pledge and commit to collecting two large bags of litter a month, which would equal to 2,072 pounds of trash a year.
Not only do we need to reduce the trash we produce, but we also need to clean up what we’ve dumped on the ground in the first place. Collecting two bags of trash a month is super easy and can be a great exercise activity as well – all while working to make our community one of the cleanest and healthiest in the Southwest!
To support this initiative, the first 50 households to pledge in collecting two bags per month will be provided with one trash grabber, bags, and gloves. All participants will also be entered in a quarterly raffle. (Prizes will be announced soon).
Interested in taking the pledge? Fill out and submit the pledge form here!
For questions, please send an e-mail to mluna@bernco.gov for more information.
