For another year, Human Services is partnering with Charlotte Radiology to bring the 3D Mobile Mammogram Unit to us for our female employees to receive a screening. The unit will be at the Human Services building (2330 Concord Ave, Monroe) on Dec. 8 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. To schedule an appointment:

The annual open enrollment period for optional life insurance through Sun Life Financial is now open through Dec. 15. During this time you may elect, increase or decrease optional life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance. Click here to read all the details.

We would like your input on the draft report of the comprehensive plan. The plan, called Union County 2050, will provide guidance to County leadership and staff on addressing growth, public health, safety, environment, infrastructure and economic development through 2050.
Residents, stakeholders, and business leaders are invited to learn about the draft comprehensive plan and provide comments through Dec. 18 online, as well as during virtual and in-person meetings.

DONATE TOYS/GIFTS/STOCKING STUFFERS Please drop unwrapped gifts in the boxes at the Government Center, Sheriff's Office, Monroe Library and Human Services before Dec. 16.
GIFT TREE-ADOPT A CHILD OR SENIOR CITIZEN Gift trees are set up at the Sheriff's Office and Human Services building (2nd floor-public side) until Dec. 10 (CORRECTED DATE). This is an opportunity for you to adopt a child or senior citizen and fulfill their wishes! There are many tags left for picking!

STOCKINGS Pick up empty stockings from the Christmas Bureau anytime, fill them and bring back by Dec. 16. Click here for stocking stuffer ideas. The need is always the greatest for under 2 years old and teenager stockings.
FOOD DRIVE All families we serve will receive non-perishable food along with their gifts for their holiday dinner. Food donations can be included in the same boxes in the County locations or dropped at the Monroe Mall location. These will be collected until Dec. 16.
VOLUNTEERING Sign up to volunteer to help between through Dec. 21. Opportunities include processing family applications and helping sort toys and gifts at the Monroe Crossings location.
