The Military Interstate Children's Compact Commission (MIC3) meets twice a year to discuss issues, updates, and other matters regarding military-connected students, specifically around the Military Interstate Children's Compact Commission. State Superintendent of Public Instruction Catherine Truitt opened the meeting with remarks about her experience as a military spouse and parent of military-connected children. She spoke about her personal value on supporting the needs of our military students. Dr. Rob Dietrich, Director of Digital Teaching and Learning, provided remarks about student transfer credits. Wayne County Schools Superintendent, Dr. David Lewis, also provided an update about the public school on Seymour Johnson AFB. The MIC3 Commission will meet in March 2022 for the first meeting of the 2022 year. §115C-407.5 Article VIII

Students draft, debate and vote on mock legislative bills while developing skills in research, interviewing, group facilitation and policy writing.
