Principal’s Monthly Report (PMR) Submission Reminder

As we near the end of the collection period for current Principal’s Monthly Report collection, please make sure you have submitted your PMR within the collection time frame determined by your PMR interval calendar.  If you have missed your submission end date, you need to request to have the report unapproved by submitting a remedy ticket to the support center. Please check the PMR for the following:

  • Fatal errors - Make sure all fatal errors have been cleared and if you are unable to clear the fatal exceptions, log a remedy ticket with the support center immediately.

  • Exceptions - Review all remaining exceptions to confirm you are submitting the data you intend to report for the LEA/charter.

  • Average Daily Membership (ADM) - Use the ADM column on your PMR as a guide to determine if you have reported all students correctly.  Please note  -  the ADM column on your PMR report is an unofficial count until the data has been verified by NCDPI.

Please do not request an unapproval of your PMR report if it does not require any corrections.

If you have any additional questions regarding submitting your Principals Monthly report, contact Ozella Wiggins via email at ozella.wiggins@dpi.nc.gov.

-Improving/supporting teacher evaluation

Office of Civil Rights (OCR)/Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) Updates

Those LEAs and Schools that were not open in the school year 2015-16 are not required to participate in this collection.

The PowerSchool CRDC Preview Reports will close on February 1, 2017

NCDPI sent an email with an attachment about who has run the OCR/CRDC reports at the LEA level.  Several LEAs and Charters have reported the dates were not correct.  Several LEAs and Charters also reported an inability to Approve the LEA level reports. Based on the feedback provided, the NCDPI and PowerSchool vendor were able to isolate the Approval button issue and are working on a resolve.

Below is the plan that must be completed by 5:00pm January 31, 2017:

  1. Complete the LEA level CRDC Screen (instructions on page 23 of the attached document ‘Preparing for the CRDC’ which is also located at http://www.ncpublicschools.org/data/management/ocr/webinars/ ).
  2. Complete all School level CRDC Screens (instruction located on page 25).
  3. Reports run prior to January 23, 2017 will report incorrect data.  LEAs and Charters must re-run the LEA level CRDC Preview Reports, part 1 and part 2.
  4.  Verify data exists in the report views for part 1 and part 2.

If reports that have already been approved appear to not have data, please unapprove and try steps 3 and 4 again.  If the issue persists, please contact the NCDPI.
