March 2023

I am pleased to introduce the first edition of the Raleigh Permits newsletter that will increase communication and create more transparency to customers like you. The newsletter will be a resource for information about system updates, process changes, and development news and events. It will also include benchmark and vacancy data, fee information, and text change updates.

Our goal is to share information that’s important to you every other month and we value your feedback. If you have ideas for topics to be shared through the newsletter, please send those to ds.help@raleighnc.gov. Thank you for helping to bring our vision of community planning that will develop a safe and sustainable built environment supporting a healthy and prosperous Raleigh for all!

Text Change Updates

- TC-1-23 Stormwater Management Controls set for public hearing on April 18.

- TC-19-21 Protective Yards is now available for comment in the public engagement portal.

- TC-1-22 Mobile Retail and TC-19-21 Protective Yards are to be discussed at the April 19 Text Change Committee meeting.

An important reminder that building permits that have passed their expiration date will be canceled.
