Making Raleigh more colorful one bus shelter at a time!

Bus

Eleven bus shelters across the City of Raleigh are adorned with the work of local artists. The artwork is the result of a project called Together Raleigh, conceived by local leaders in the public and private sectors to make Raleigh’s bus shelters enticing and beautiful by adding public art in highly visible places! Artists drew from a variety of inspirations including honey bees, robots, family and the landscape of the city.

The local artists selected to create the artwork were: Sergio Analco, Lidia Churakova, Jerstin Crosby, Ciara Fischer, Amy Flynn, Scott Hazard, Rachel Herrick, Sean Kernick, Brett Morris, Jermaine Powell, and Anna Totten.

The Together Raleigh project is made possible by the News and Observer, Mayor Nancy McFarlane, GoRaleigh, Medical Mutual, AT&T-North Carolina, First Tennessee Bank, Wake Technical College, the North Carolina Museum of Art, YMCA of the Triangle, UNC Rex Healthcare, the Kaleidoscope Project, VK Fields & Co, Dr. Assad Meymandi, Attorney Michael Sandman, the Office of Raleigh Arts, and the City of Raleigh.
