Montana Association of WIC Agencies (MAWA) is a non-profit organization formed in 1996 for and by local agency staff across Montana. MAWA’s mission encompasses the work we do as an association: Through collaboration, advocacy, and support, we inspire a unified voice of the Montana WIC community to assure quality services.
March signals the time of year local agency staff are invited to renew MAWA membership or become new members. Membership dues are $15 per person and are a WIC allowable expense. Montana Association of WIC Agencies Membership Form
The spirit of the MAWA community is support for each other and the people we serve. This year, the MAWA Board has voted to offer three $500 mini-grants to local agencies. Hello!
We are inviting anyone who is part of the work of Montana’s Child Welfare System to participate in a Statewide Assessment Survey, as part of Child and Family Service Division’s Child and Family Services Review (CFSR), which we are in the midst of, currently. The CFSR process has two phases: the first is the Statewide Assessment, and the second is the onsite Federal Case Review, which will take place in Billings, Great Falls and Missoula, this August 2025.
This Statewide Assessment Survey allows all CFSD staff, stakeholders, parents, youth, foster/adoptive/guardianship families and others to share their experiences with Montana’s Child Welfare System; so that we can enable the Federal Children’s Bureau to: (1) determine Montana’s conformity with federal child welfare requirements; (2) learn about the experiences of children, youth, and families receiving child welfare services in Montana; and (3) assist Montana in enhancing their capacity to help children and families achieve positive outcomes.
Your feedback is valuable to the current and future work of Montana’s child welfare system to improve safety, permanency, and well-being outcomes for children and families. This survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. The survey closes on March 18, 2025, 5pm.
