International e-Commerce & Website Globalization

Next, are international customers finding your website?  There are 100+ versions of Google around the world, and if your website is not optimized and localized for your target international market, chances are that international customers are having a hard time finding you online.  And when they do find you, does their experience reflect positively on your brand and products?  Many international customers prefer websites in their own language and currency.

The STEP grant can help with e-Commerce and website globalization by reimbursing 75% of the below eligible expenses, up to $10,000 per international market.  Learn more here.

Forrest Rogers with Rock Treads recently used Montana’s STEP grant program for website globalization, translating his website into German and getting it optimized for European search engines.  About this experience, he says,

"The website globalization grant has helped Rock Treads [rocktreads.com] to grow exponentially in Europe.  Since creating the new website in August 2020, Rock Treads has increased sales by thousands of percentage points so that we are barely keeping up with demand. We’ve even now established an Austrian based warehouse to allow our product to be sold direct in that market.  The new localized website has been a game changer for us in Europe.”
