Missouri is Celebrating Energy Awareness Month and Weatherization Day
 October is Energy Awareness Month and October 30th is Weatherization Day. According to The National Association for State Community Services Programs (NASCSP) The Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) supports thousands of local businesses, including manufacturers, supply chain vendors, and professional contractors. This program provides a marketplace for innovation and new product development in the energy efficiency industry nationwide. The WAP is a pioneer in deploying technology and facilitating greater industry adoption of more efficient and effective practices and tools. Through these tools, WAP continues to define residential energy upgrade work as a distinct and professional industry and as a desirable and sensible product for consumers. Over 88% of materials used for WAP are American made.
To help celebrate Energy Awareness Month, Weatherization Day, and the 40th Anniversary of the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) Missouri has several events planned throughout the state. Check out the list below to see events happening near you.
