March 17, 2016
To date, a majority of the 1095-A forms (67%) have
been sent to Minnesotans who enrolled in a qualified health plan in 2015. MNsure and MN.IT are still processing the remaining forms.
In addition to the automated process currently underway, we
have begun manual production of the forms and have dedicated additional staff
resources to this work. This will increase the frequency in which the forms
are mailed.
We apologize for any
difficulty this delay has created. We are working as quickly and as accurately
as we can to resolve it
Enrollment Deadline
Small groups enrolling for an effective date of May 1, 2016,
must submit their Employer Application to MNsure_SHOP@state.mn.us by March 25,
2016.
Tax Credits for Small Employers
Your small business might be eligible to receive tax credits
that can lower your costs. Use this
calculator to get an estimate of your tax credit. Small employers must meet
the eligibility
requirements established by the IRS to qualify for the small business tax
credit.
If you’re eligible, you’ll claim the tax credit when you
submit your federal income tax returns. The tax credit covers up to 50 percent
of premium costs for taxable organizations and up to 35 percent for tax-exempt
organizations.
MNsure is currently accepting proposals for the Navigator
Outreach and Enrollment Grant Program. Proposals are due on or before Friday,
April 1, 2016, at 1 p.m. Central Time.
We
will release the written responses to all questions received regarding this RFP
on March 18. The Q and A will be posted under Questions and Answers on the Funding Opportunities
web page.
Use your health insurance to stay healthy, not only when you
are sick or have an emergency. Preventive care is part of your health plan. All
health plans purchased through MNsure include many free tests for adults and kids—at no cost to you.
