Have you ever wanted to make a video? Act in a play? Or maybe just find a cool place to do stuff with your friends? The Sprockets Program Finder is being updated weekly with a variety of online and in-person (social distanced) activities and other fun things for teens and youth to do in Saint Paul. If you're looking for job skills, try browsing some programs that will help you gain professional experience, too.


College Student Positions for Summer

4H

Ramsey County 4-H is seeking college students to join the 4-H Campus Immersion Counselor Team. Campus Immersion is a 5-day experience (June 21-25) for youth to build their personal pathway and achieve their aspirations for higher education.

Counselors will:

  • Guide, counsel, and supervise campers through the day-camp experience
  • Support youth in imaging themselves as future college students
  • Develop leadership, social, and responsibility skills
  • Provide a safe and fun environment for youth through daily activities
  • Hold a positive attitude and demonstrate strong initiative to perform counselor duties
  • Act as a positive role model through mentorship and building developmental relationships with youth participants

$500 stipend for the 5 days on campus, as well as mandatory counselor training (1-2 days of training held prior to June 21)

4-H Campus Immersion 2021

In the 4-H Campus Immersion program youth will explore the University of Minnesota campus, and their personal interests/goals; enjoy fun challenges and exciting hands-on activities related to STEAM learning and self-exploration. Youth will have fun making new friends, hanging out on campus, and meeting professors and university students! Build and grow in leadership skills and get prepared for higher education!

This is a FREE program. Registration is due by June 9th, 2021.

CLUES Entre Mujeres Retreat

CLUES

CLUES’ Entre Mujeres students are planning a Girls Retreat! It will be a youth led/facilitated virtual 2 day event happening from March 26-27th. We will dive into conversations and activities around self-love and self-care. This is an awesome opportunity for young Latinas to connect as they create self-care plans, de-stress after a crazy year, and celebrate themselves and their identities!

2021 PCIARC Virtual Youth Townhall

Townhall

The event aims to connect with youth and highlights the work of the Police Civilian Internal Affairs Review Commission (PCIARC):

  • PCIARC Process
  • Saint Paul Community Ambassadors Program
  • Collect Youth Feedback

The PCIARC reviews and makes disciplinary and policy recommendations to the Saint Paul Chief of Police on civilian initiated police conduct complaints.

Time: Thursday April 22, 2021 from 4:30 P.M. - 5:30 P.M.

ThreeSixty Journalism Learning Labs

ThreeSixty Journalism will host a series of virtual zoom Learning Labs taught by professionals, primarily professionals of color, and ThreeSixty alumni. This is a free opportunity for youth 14-18 years old.

Takes place on Saturday, April 10, and Saturday, April 17. Each day will include two virtual 90-minute sessions led by a professional from held from 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
