Eligible members can get a ride to and from health-care appointments. If you need transportation, you can get it for:
- Medical and dental appointments
- Physical therapy appointments
- Mental/behavioral health and chemical dependency appointments
- Occupational therapy, acupuncture or chiropractic appointments
- Picking up your prescription at a pharmacy
Call us at 612-596-1036 (TTY 1-800-627-3529), Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. For best service, please call 3 days before you need transportation.
When you call, be ready to tell us:
- The date and time of your appointment
- The address of where you are going
- The building name
- Your member ID card number
Call us for a ride.

Flu shots. Flu shots protect you and the people around you. Most people age 6 months or older should get a flu shot this fall. Flu shots are safe and covered by your health plan. You can get a flu shot at many places; your clinic, local pharmacy and some retail locations. To find out where to get a flu shot, go to: health.state.mn.us/people/immunize/basics/vaxfinder.html.

Child and Teen Checkups. Checkups are free and can earn you rewards (hennepinhealth.org/members/rewards-programs). Children and teens should get health checks at these milestones:
- Between birth and 1 month
- At 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 24, 30, and 36 months
- Every year after age 3 through age 20

Regular/annual health-care visits. Stay healthy by staying current with:
- Eye exams
- Mammograms
- Annual physicals
- Vaccinations

Mental health. Now more than ever, it’s important to check in with family and friends. But don’t forget about yourself. If you are struggling, know that you are not alone. You can take action right now.

Youth vaping. According to the 2019 Minnesota Student Survey, one in four 11th graders in Hennepin County now uses e-cigarettes. People who smoke or vape may have an increased risk of developing severe complications from COVID-19.
