Certified small businesses can apply for Micro Grant funds to participate in upcoming training opportunities. MnDOT is offering Work Zone Safety Training and Micro Grant funds can be used to cover the cost of registration.
The Micro Grant Program helps Minnesota-based certified small businesses increase capacity by providing financial assistance for eligible expenses. Micro Grant program funds can be used to cover registration fees for technical training and technical certifications, workshops, and other coursework.

Micro Grant eligibility
- Applicant must be a certified small business firm with a principal place of business in Minnesota
- Applicant must have bid or proposed on a MnDOT project in the last two state fiscal years (July 2023 – present)
- Applicant must complete the Micro Grant Program online training module or attend a training session prior to submitting an application
