Reminder: Provider roundtables now back to monthly schedule

The Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare roundtables for providers — which changed to a weekly cadence in January to address provider questions about pre-payment review, revalidation, disenrollment, and appeals — returned to their normal monthly schedule. The next roundtable is this Thursday, July 16.

High-risk services enrollment moratorium extended

CMS has approved our request to extend the temporary moratorium on enrollment of providers of high-risk services. Learn more in the provider news message posted July 10, 2026.

NETStudy 2.0 updates may affect EIDBI provider records

DHS is updating Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention agency records in NETStudy 2.0, and the update may impact how providers access certain information. A July 10, 2026, provider news message has details.

Incorrectly denied IEP claims reprocessed

We have identified and resolved system errors that were previously causing Individualized Education Program claims to be incorrectly denied between Oct. 1, 2025, and May 22, 2026. Read the July 10, 2026, provider news message for more information.

Waiver Reimagine update

DHS is reviewing how legislative changes passed during the 2026 session will impact the rollout of Minnesota's new Disability Waiver Program.

While it will not launch on Jan. 1, 2027, as previously planned, work continues to support a successful implementation. A definitive launch date has not been identified. Read more details in a July 7, 2026, provider news message.

Federal Medicaid changes

Changes are coming this fall to Minnesota's Medicaid program due to a federal law that passed in 2025. The first of several provisions — which will impact noncitizen adults — goes into effect in October 2026.

Refer to the federal changes subsite for up-to-date news and information about this and other coming provisions. Access resources like the partner communications toolkits and the Renewal Lookup Tool, as well as a short video (2 min) explaining how to use the lookup tool to report an exemption to work and community engagement requirements. 

Our focus right now is on helping people understand whether they may be affected, what coverage options may be available and where to get trusted help.

Minnesota Revalidate FAQs updated with new information

The Minnesota Revalidate 2026 FAQs for providers revalidating for high-risk services were recently updated with clarifying information about managing employees. On the page you will also find many common questions about revalidation, termination, appeals, and more.

Questions about LoginMN?

There is also a section in the provider FAQs dedicated to LoginMN, the new secure statewide sign-on system that will be used to access all Minnesota programs and services. Find video and downloadable resources there as well.

New guidance and resources on obstetrics services coding

Currently, providers can bill obstetric services globally or by component. However, on Jan. 1, 2027, the American Medical Association is eliminating the global CPT codes. Global codes bundle all prenatal visits, delivery, and postpartum care into a single claim. Under the new system, each phase of care will be billed separately as services are provided. DHS will follow updated billing guidance from the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, posted in a July 2 provider news message on our site.
