Reminder about Insurance

State Services for the Blind should be a certificate holder listed on your insurance. This automatically sends a copy or renewed insurance to us. We are asking during monitoring reviews for current proof of insurance. Community Partners who renew their insurance should check if we are listed and if not, we should be added. If it is that time of the year to renew your insurance, please send a copy along to us. If you are emailing a copy to us, please send it to ssbcontracts.deed@state.mn.us.

Register Now - SSB Listening Sessions July 28-30

SSB will be holding three hybrid listening sessions to gather information for our annual Needs Assessment report. The intended audience is Workforce Development and Youth Services customers. The sessions will be held in-person at SSB (2200 University Avenue West, Suite #240, St. Paul) and on Zoom.

Session 1:

General Audience & Youth Services/Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS)

Date: Monday, July 28^th

Time: 7:00 – 8:30 pm

Session 2:

Adult DeafBlind

Date: Tuesday, July 29^th

Time: 7:00-8:30 pm

Session 3:

Youth Services/Pre-ETS DeafBlind

The Minnesota State Services for the Blind Vocational Rehabilitation program receives 78.69 percent of its funding through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education. For federal fiscal year 2024, the total amount of grant funds awarded were $10,410,449. The remaining 21.3 percent of the costs ($2,817,568) were funded by Minnesota state appropriations.
