10 Big Ideas Job-Seekers Must Follow if They Want to Get a Meaningful Job
Given this state of the economy, the best thing any job-seeker can do to get a better job is to be more thorough, more savvy, and more aggressive. The following are some basic guidelines for the thorough and savvy parts.

  1. Applying directly to job postings should represent no more than 20% of what you do
  2. Leverage your understanding of the recruiter’s role
  3. Implement a 20/20/60 job-hunting plan
  4. Focus on the job, not the money
  5. Present your strengths and weaknesses via short stories

Get a Free or Low Cost Computer & Internet from PCs for People
To receive a computer from PCs for People a potential recipient must be below the 200% poverty level or be currently enrolled in a government assistance program. Nonprofits are also eligible recipients of technology.

A typical desktop computer system includes Windows 7 Professional, Linux, or Windows 8.1 Professional; 2.8 GHz+CPU; 1GB+ RAM;CD/DVD ROM drive; mouse and keyboard; cords; and17 inch CRT monitor or a flat LCD screen monitor at an extra price.

Low cost internet is also available for $40 per 3 months, $75 per six months, and $120 per year.
