To Oakland County employees,
On June 23 it was announced that employees that have received or plan on getting the COVID-19 vaccine would get a $50 gift card. However, we’re happy to announce that employees will now receive an incentive of $200 and it will be in the form of check, rather than a gift card!
All you have to do, is fill out the form verifying that you’ve gotten the vaccine. This is the same form you filled out when the county dropped its mask mandate in June for fully vaccinated employees. If you’ve already filled out that form, there’s nothing more you need to do. The $200 (minus taxes) will be direct deposited into your account on August 13, 2021.
If you are fully vaccinated and haven’t yet filled out the form, do so by July 21, 2021 and you’ll receive your $200 check on August 13, 2021. Access the Vaccination Verification form on the Telegraph Coronavirus Portal website.

If you haven’t gotten your vaccination shots yet, get it done by Sept. 10, fill out the form verifying your status as fully vaccinated and the next batch of incentives will land in bank accounts on Sept. 24. If you wait until after Sept. 10, you’re out of luck because the incentive ends then.
For those employees who haven’t gotten vaccinated yet, there are plenty of options to get your shots. To see where you can get a vaccine, go to: https://oaklandcountyvaccine.com/appointments. The Health Division is also holding daily vaccine clinics from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at both its North Oakland Health Center in Pontiac and South Oakland Health Center in Southfield.
“We feel so strongly about getting as many people vaccinated as possible that we’re offering this enhanced incentive for employees to show how much we value your contribution to this effort. This is an essential health program to ensure our employees, your families and the customers we serve in Oakland County are protected against another surge of COVID-19,” said County Executive David Coulter. “None of us want to go back to the restrictions and sickness, and even death caused by COVID-19. One-by-one, do the right thing, get your shots and we all can get back to normal.”
"Increasing the number of people vaccinated is essential to protecting the health of everyone," Board Chairman David T. Woodward (D-Royal Oak) added. "This incentive is just one more step we are taking to do our part, protect our public health, and make sure we continue to deliver county services safely and efficiently."
If you received the $50 gift card incentive that Oakland County is offering people who got their vaccines after June 24, reach out to Aimee Hamm at hamma@oakgov.com in Human Resources to reconcile the two incentives.
And, if you’re scheduled to get a vaccine before Oakland County reaches a 70% vaccination rate in the next couple of weeks, don’t take the $50 gift card incentive! Instead, sign up for the $200 employee incentive.
Many thanks for all your hard work and thanks for getting vaccinated,
April M. Lynch
Deputy County Executive
