The Office of Higher Education is sending this a month-end GovDelivery recapping the communications shared throughout the month. A summary of the updates is included below. This is not an exhaustive list and we encourage you to review all previous messages.
- A large majority of MiSSG reports will be updated to include both MiSSG ID’s and UIC’s, where applicable. This change will cause new columns to be added and shift existing data columns to accommodate the new columns.
- Review impacted reports and rosters.
- For Academic Year 2026-27, Michigan Achievement Scholarship no longer requires that a student graduate from a Michigan high school. This change is now live in MiSSG.
- Clear Ineligible Reasons
- MiSSG School Users should be accessing MiSSG to review the “Clear Ineligible Reasons” and to update ineligible student records for Academic Year 2026-27.
- Tuition Incentive Program (TIP) Rate – Deadline September 30, 2026
- The tuition rate that may be received for TIP at participating private or independent degree-granting institutions is calculated annually by averaging the standard in-district tuition rates of participating Michigan community colleges. The 2026-27 rate is $138 per credit hour and has been prepopulated in MiSSG.
- All other institutions will need to enter their 2026-27 TIP Rates in MiSSG by September 30, 2026.
- Review and Update State Financial Aid Programs Lead Contact Information in MISSG.
- Complete the 2026-27 MiSSG Aid Administrator Security Access Form.
