Michigan Achievement Scholarship – Out-of-State Student Process Complete

For Academic Year 2026-27, Michigan Achievement Scholarship no longer requires that a student graduate from a Michigan high school. This change is now live in MiSSG. Here are some important facts about this change:

• All students who were marked ineligible due to out-of-state graduation have had the ineligibility reason removed in MiSSG. If eligibility conditions are met in 2026-27, these students are now on Eligibility and Information rosters.
• Students must still meet high school completion requirements; non-Michigan schools can now be used.
• Students must meet Michigan residency requirements.
