Michigan Achievement Scholarship: 15-Month Initiation System Update
We are excited to announce that the manual override now includes students with mid-year initiation requirements. This feature is now live in MiSSG. This update allows institutions to manually override Michigan Achievement Scholarship students who meet the 15-month initiation requirement, but previously needed to have a future year FAFSA or be processed by a program coordinator.
Example: A student has an initiation requirement of Fall 2025, but was certified as not enrolled. They were enrolled in the Spring of 2025 half-time. Previously the student would not appear on the override “did not enroll within 15-months of HS grad” list or display the “add activation payment” button until they have a 2026-27 record. Now the student will be able to have an override processed using the “add activation payment” button in the 2025-26 record.
For a refresher on how to perform a 15-Month Override please review the previous GovDelivery.
