Michigan Achievement Scholarship: 15-Month Initiation System Update
We are excited to announce that the manual override feature is now live in MiSSG. This update allows institutions to manually override Michigan Achievement Scholarship students who meet the 15-month initiation requirement but were unable to be certified in MiSSG.
This manual update allows an override of the 15-month requirement. When performing a manual update, institutions will need to provide the following information:
-
Academic year of first enrollment during the 15-month period.
-
Semester/term of first enrollment during the 15-month period.
If a student was enrolled at a different institution, please retain record of their enrollment (such as transcripts) in their student file.
1. Navigate to “Clear Ineligible Reasons.”
2. Select “Did Not Enroll within required months of HS Grad.”
 3. Select students to hide or process. Enter the year and term of their first enrolled semester during their 15-Month period.
 4. Select Save.
 5. The student record will now be updated (Ex: Bobby Adams).
For additional review of the 15-month initiation requirement, policy can be found in the State Programs Procedures Manual on page 44 and in the previous GovDelivery, Updated Michigan Achievement Scholarship Eligibility for 2025-26.
