In Academic Year 2024-25, MI Student Aid will be sending a month end GovDelivery recapping the communications shared that month. This is not an exhaustive list and we encourage you to review all previous messages.
Important Updates and Reminders!
- The final payment date for Academic Year 2024-25 for all State financial aid programs is scheduled for August 13, 2025. To be included in the final payment, awards must be certified and reimbursements requested by the deadline of 5:00 p.m. on August 12, 2025.
- Michigan Achievement Scholarship - Quarter 4 Special Process Instructions are available. If the ‘Ready to Pay’ status for the initiation semester is not updated to ‘Paid’ during Quarters 1–3, a special process may be required in Quarter 4.
- The following processing deadlines for Academic Year 2024-25 MI Future Educator Fellowship are coming soon. Institutions must complete applicants’ Confirmation of Eligibility by July 1, 2025. The applicant must sign the Commitment to Teach In Michigan Agreement by July 15, 2025. You will then have until our final payment deadline (August 12, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.) to complete reimbursement requests.
- The 3rd quarter payment for Futures for Frontliners and Michigan Reconnect Scholarship is scheduled for June 27, 2025. To be included in the 3rd quarter payments, reimbursements must be requested by the deadline of 5:00 p.m. on June 26, 2025.
2025-26 MiSSG Aid Administrator Security Access Form Now Available!
- Financial aid directors must annually renew the users at their institution by submitting a new MiSSG Aid Administrator Security Access Form. MiSSG user accounts not renewed by September 30, 2025 will be deactivated.
- To ensure accurate reporting between MiSSG and CEPI data systems, all postsecondary students must have a CEPI UIC on file. A representative at your institution must be listed as a CEPI UIC contact.
- MITW is coming to MiSSG this fall and will include applications for the Michigan Indian Tuition Waiver and present eligibility statuses to MiSSG School Users.
