Financial aid directors must annually renew the users at their institution by submitting a new MiSSG Aid Administrator Security Access Form.
MiSSG user accounts not renewed by September 30, 2025 will be deactivated.
Each security access form must be:
- Completed electronically by the aid director.
- Please do not send a handwritten form.
- Emailed to MiStudentAid@Michigan.gov from the aid director’s email address.
- Add "2025-26 Security Form" to the subject line.
- Forms sent to or from different addresses will not be accepted.
The 2025-26 MiSSG Aid Administrator Security Access Form will be processed in the order they are received and access can be granted prior to the beginning of the Academic Year 2025-26. New users will receive a “Welcome to MiSSG” email with login instructions.
For reference, aid directors may request a copy of their institution’s 2024-25 MiSSG Aid Administrator Security Access Form by emailing MiStudentAid@Michigan.gov.
CEPI UIC Contact:
The Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP) works closely with the Center for Education Performance and Information (CEPI) on the reporting and analysis of State financial aid programs. To ensure accurate reporting between MiSSG and CEPI data systems, all postsecondary students must have a CEPI UIC on file. A representative at your institution must be listed as a CEPI UIC contact. This person will be responsible for supporting with the assignment of new CEPI UICs when necessary and/or resolution of mismatched CEPI UICs; therefore, the CEPI UIC contact must be someone with appropriate access to perform this responsibility.
Michigan Indian Tuition Waiver:
MITW is coming to MiSSG this fall and will include applications for the Michigan Indian Tuition Waiver and present eligibility statuses to MiSSG School Users. MITW payments will continue to be made as part of State operational funds and will be processed outside of MiSSG. This update is focused on streamlining student applications, eligibility determinations, notifications to institutions, and recordkeeping. To prepare for this implementation, MITW is now included on the 2025-26 Aid Administrators Security Access Form. It is important appropriate MiSSG access is granted to the representative(s) who is/are currently responsible for administering MITW at your institution.
