Join Real Maine's Fiber Promotion Sunday October 10, 2021

How to participate - what to know:

  • Real Maine members sign up by logging into the member portal. Go to edit profile > Farm and Business features > Events > Save and Submit. Use the Real Maine Quick Guide for help
  • Sign up by 8/8: to add your Real Maine profile to the fall publication and the online map and itinerary
  • Sign up by 9/3: to add your Real Maine profile to online map and itinerary only 
  • You may also opt to submit an event to the Real Maine calendar
  • Participation includes internet, social media and print promotions.
  • This is an open-house style event of tours and trails designed to coincide with high-traffic visitation to Maine, and many makers and artisan events highlighting Maine communities and businesses.

About this effort:
The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry's Agricultural Resource Development Division (ARD) Real Maine program and Maine Department of Economic and Community Development's Maine Made program will promote this pilot event to help members enhance their outreach about Maine's fibershed.

  • Maine animal and plant fiber growers interested in offering a consumer experiences, and learning how to support and promote Maine's fibershed.
  • Agricultural service providers and economic development professionals who are able to, and/or have an interest in supporting Maine's fibershed development.
  • Maine fiber designers, and artists seeking to source Maine raw materials to develop Maine products and grow Maine's fibershed.
  • Maine fiber processors, manufacturers  interested in sourcing and producing Maine raw materials to grow Maine's fibershed.
  • Retailers, marketers and other supply chain supporters are able to, and/or have an interest in supporting Maine's fibershed development.
