 Address Philanthropic Role in Youth Workforce Development

Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake joins Starbucks to host a Town Hall meeting with a select group of local leaders to focus on teen employment in Baltimore City for all youth, including those who are out of school and out of work.

BACKGROUND: 

National: Through the new Solutions City℠ initiative created by the U.S. Conference of Mayors and Starbucks, mayors in five cities – Baltimore, Sacramento, Columbus, Orlando, and Phoenix – are bringing together constituents and other local leaders for town hall meetings in their neighborhood Starbucks store to identify and tackle civic challenges on three key issues: providing access to education, supporting veterans, and empowering opportunity youth.
