Cooper Chapel Rd at Lantana Dr Closed September 28 - October 2

Cooper Chapel Closure

A small portion of Cooper Chapel Rd at Lantana Dr will be closed from September 28 through October 2, 2026.

The work is being preformed during JCPS' fall break to minimize disruptions.

The work being performed is necessary to reroute portions of the existing sewer system and remove the Lantana Pump Station from service. These improvements will enhance the area's wastewater infrastructure and support ongoing system upgrades required under the consent decree between MSD and the EPA.  Work is being preformed by the contractor, Filcon.

During this time, traffic will be rerouted to ensure the safety of both the public and construction workers. Maps showing the work area and approved traffic detour routes are included with this notice.

Detour routes will be clearly marked using standard traffic control devices. Based on the approved traffic control plan, traffic will be directed along neighboring routes, including E. Manslick Road, Pennsylvania Run Road, and Smyrna Parkway. We encourage you to review the detour routes in advance and allow additional travel time while traveling through the area.
