Each week, the Metro Office of Planning creates a report listing all new land use applications in Jefferson County. These typically include requests for changes in zoning, conditional use permits, variances, waivers, and more. There is one new case in this week's report related to our district, a sign permit for a business located at 10494 Westport Road. There is also a revised submittal regarding the landscape plan for a coffee shop at 3737 Diann Marie Road. Please let me know if you have questions about either of these two proposals.
The next Pop-Up Drop-Off will be Saturday, August 15 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Fern Creek Elementary and High School. This event is a great opportunity to recycle or properly dispose of things like electronics, prescription medications, large household items, personal documents, and more. Click here for a more complete list of accepted items and tips on making your trip more efficient. If you're planning on attending, please enter through the elementary school entrance at 8815 Ferndale Road and follow staff directions through the collection area.
