Each week, the Metro Office of Planning creates a report listing all new land use applications in Jefferson County. These typically include requests for changes in zoning, conditional use permits, variances, waivers, and more. There is one case in this week's report related to property in our district, a request to allow off-street parking at 12606 St. Clair Drive. The report also includes a request to shift property lines at 10501 Brownsboro Road which is just outside our district. Please let me know if you have questions regarding either case.
The Development Review Committee, a committee of the Planning Commission, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, July 29 to consider a request to allow a mini warehouse and parking for an existing moving company at 13319 Aiken Road. The meeting begins at 1 p.m. and will continue until all cases are heard. Please let me know if you have any questions about the proposal.
I wanted to remind everyone that District 17 residents have an opportunity to attend a Bats game for free through 'Metro Council Community Nights' at Slugger Field. Each voucher includes a reserved seat for the game as well as a coupon for a free hot dog and soft drink. While there are a larger number of tickets available for the game in September, there are now fewer than 50 remaining for the August 11 game against Toledo. I'd hate to see them go unclaimed, so click here to request your tickets today.
