LMPD 8th Division Quarterly Meeting - June 24

As part of the Louisville Metro Police Department's ongoing commitment to community engagement and transparency, the Eighth Division will host its second quarterly meeting of the year on Wednesday, June 24 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS, 9514 Featherbell Boulevard. If you didn't get a chance to make the first meeting back in March, these are great opportunities to get updates on public safety initiatives and share any concerns or questions you have about crime in your neighborhood. I hope to see you there!

Budget Update

This week, we had budget hearings with four metro departments including Economic Development and Codes & Regulations yesterday afternoon. Next week, we'll have three hearings on Monday (Corrections from 3-4 p.m., Public Health & Wellness from 4-5 p.m., and LFPL from 5-6 p.m.) and one on Thursday (Technology Services from 4-5 p.m.). Though there is a day set aside for departments to be called back if necessary, next Thursday will essentially be the last hearing involving metro departments. That said, there is still time to comment on the budget. Click here to review budget documents and share any thoughts you may have.

Office of Planning Weekly Activity Report

Each week, the Metro Office of Planning creates a report listing all new land use applications in Jefferson County. These typically include requests for changes in zoning, conditional use permits, variances, landscape plans, and more. There is one case in this week's report involving property in our district, a request for a change in zoning from C-1 Commercial to C-2 Commercial along with a conditional use permit to allow for the construction of a mini-warehouse at 2911 Goose Creek Road. If you have questions or comments, feel free to reach out to my office or email the case manager directly at zachary.jones@louisvilleky.gov.
