Metro Council Holiday Food Drive

food drive

The Louisville Metro Council and District 17 have teamed up with the Association of Community Ministries (ACM) to host a food drive this holiday season to collect essential items for those in need. The collection lasts until December 9 after which all donations will be distributed among the 13 area ministries. There are more than 20 locations for those interested in dropping off food, with the closest site for most of us being the Berrytown Recreation Center, 1300 Heafer Road. The ministries really need our help, so I hope you'll consider lending a hand. For a list of all donation sites and more information, click here

Codes & Regulations - 'Freeze Out Fire Risk'

codes

As colder months approach, vacant properties face a higher risk of falling victim to crimes, fires, break-ins, and other safety hazards. Property owners are required to keep these properties clean and secure, not only to stay compliant with city codes but also to prevent emergencies that can threaten the safety of our community. If you have concerns regarding a vacant or abandoned property in your neighborhood, or if you require guidance in securing your own, please call Metro Codes & Regulations at 574-2508.
